Here are some home remedies on how to get rid of razor bumps quickly.

Aloe Vera
Razor burns are pimple-like bumps on the skin that can often cause redness and itch, it is, therefore, recommended that you apply a paste of a cooling agent that can help soothe your skin irritation. Using aloe vera for skin issues is an excellent natural remedy that is not only super effective but also very easy to follow. While natural aloe vera gel can provide instant relief, you can also choose to buy an aloe vera gel without any artificial colors and fragrances in case you do not have a plant at home.

Hot and cold therapy
You can either adopt one of the hot or cold compress therapy to ease the irritation and get rid of razor bumps easily. To apply a hot compress, soak cotton wool in hot water and press it on the affected area. This method would open the pores and allow the trapped ingrown hair to be free. Similarly, putting a cloth soaked in cold water can help soothe the razor bumps.

Keep the affected area moisturized
You can apply a mild moisturizer to hydrate, soften, and soothe the skin and reduce the itching. An aloe vera or shea butter moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated. You must also try to avoid all alcohol based lotions and strong solutions to ensure your skin doesn’t develop new allergies or irritation.

Use a mild astringent based cream
An ointment with an astringent base or a natural antiseptic can prove very effective if you want to get rid of razor bumps quickly. Applying an ointment with a combination of antiseptic and astringent is quite useful if you want to get rid of razor bumps within a couple of days.

Use lemon juice
A natural acid, lemon juice is known to reduce the redness and prevent infection by fighting the bacteria from settling near the ingrown follicles.

Try a cucumber and milk mask
Puree about half a cucumber with milk and let it cool in the fridge. Apply this paste on the razor bumps and let it stay for the next 20 minutes, rinse and pat dry.
